Yusuf Abdulazeez scored his 9th league goal of the Nigeria Professional Football League season in Gombe United’s 3-1 win over Nasarawa United in a matchday 22 fixture.
Yusuf opened the floodgate of a four goal thriller when he scored in the 33rd minute before Ahmed Jimoh doubled the lead five minutes before the break with Gombe United in firm position heading into halftime.
Abdullahi Aliyi however gave Nasarawa United a glimmer of hope in the 51st minute before Abanni Sani wrapped up the win for Gombe United in the 77th minute.
Yusuf Abdulazeez is now two goals shy of the league’s leading scorer, Rafiu Isaq of Rivers Utd on 11 goals.
In his mesmerizing self, Yusuf is one of the prolific goalscorer in the league which the national team handlers, especially the Super Eagles B team have to put an eye on.
