Yusuf Abdulazeez scored his 10th league goal of the Nigeria Professional Football League season in Gombe United’s 1-1 draw against defending champions, Akwa United in a matchday 23 fixture.
Adam Yakubu had given the Promise Keeprs the lead inside 15 minutes but Yusuf restored parity for Gombe United seven minutes after the half hour mark from the penalty spot.
Yusuf Abdulazeez is now two goals shy of the league’s leading scorer, Rafiu Isaq of Rivers Utd on 12 goals.
In his mesmerizing self, Yusuf is one of the prolific goalscorer in the league which the national team handlers, especially the Super Eagles B team have to put an eye on ahead of major call ups to the CHAN team.
