Yusuf Abdulazeez scored his 11th league goal of the Nigeria Professional Football League season in Gombe United’s 1-0 win over Katsina United in a matchday 25 fixture.
Off the back of their 2-1 loss to Lobi Stars, Gombe United came into the Northern Derby with a view of a win and soon got in front inside the sixth minute, Yusuf Abdulazeez the goalscorer.
The game finished 1-0 in favour of the host and now places Gombe United 8th on the log with 35 points.
Yusuf Abdulazeez is now a goal shy of the league’s leading scorer, Rafiu Isaq of Rivers Utd on 12 goals.
In his stride, Yusuf is one of the prolific goalscorer in the league which the national team handlers, especially the Super Eagles B team have to put an eye on.
