Shooting Stars football club are winners of the second edition of the Governor Seyi Makinde Pre season Tournament following a 4-0 bashing of Oyo State Housing Corporation.
Two first half goals by Gafar Olafimihan and Malomo Taofeek, with two more goals by substitutes Ebenezer Odeyemi and Seyi Okeowo, ensured the nailing of the opponent in the final game decided at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
Apart from successfully defending the trophy, having won the maiden edition in 2019, 3SC were able to grab some individual awards as workaholic midfielder, Akilu Mohammed emerged the highest goal scorer, while Laide Okanlawon was named the tourney's best goal keeper.
Seyi Okeowo was also rewarded for scoring the last goal of the tourney, in addition to winning the man of the match award for the final, while the trio of Ebenezer Odeyemi, Aniete Uko and Malomo Taofeek also went home with awards for their outstanding performances.
The Oluyole Warriors continue to prepare for the season which starts on December 17.
