League Resumes, Goal Returns; Sodiq Awujoola Scores 94th Min Winner Against Ismaily

Sodiq Awujoola scored a 94th min winner for Smouha SC against Ismaily to record his 3rd goal in 4 matches for his Egyptian side.

In a Matchday 6 Egyptian Premier League encounter played at the Alexandria stadium, Khalid Abdullfatah pierced the net just after the half hour mark to give the home side the lead but the visitors found the leveler right on halftime when Shokry Naguib scored for Ismaily.

Looking for inspiration off the bench, Smouha SC coach, Ahmed Samy substituted Mohamed Abdel Aati in the 74th minute as Sodiq Awujoola joined the fray and duly repaid his coach faith in him.

With the last kick of the game, “Calaba” ghosted into the box as he met a flick on from Marwan Hamdi, hit a first time shot which was saved by the goalkeeper but he was able to calmly slot home the rebound with superb composure for the winning goal.

The win now sees Smuoha SC 7th in the league.
