EXCLUSIVE: Hassan Abd’Allah Talk On Heartland’s Domestic Double Target, Players Welfare, Readiness For New NPFL Season

As the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL gets underway on Friday, managers and players of club sides in the country’s topflight league have started sharing their thought on how the season will pan out for their respectful teams.

In an exclusive interview with thevitalnews.com.ng, Heartland FC coach Hassan Ab’dallah spoke on the readiness of his team for the new season.

“I’m really prepared, as I have arranged my boys very well in terms of fitness and tactics. As far as I’m concerned, everything is intact”, he said.

For a club that had so much issues with salaries of its players last season, Hassan Ab’dallah who is a brother to former Enyimba gaffer, Usman, said the government are putting in effort to make the welfare of players a priority.

“All hands are on deck for the government to pay them about three or four months salaries in the next two to three days, which means the players will be happy”, he said when quizzed on the players welfare.

A football coach is said to be as good as his players, hence, Ab’dallah told TVN that he has had the pleasure of selecting a good team and hopefully the results will come in good.

“I have gone round Owerri for screening and picked up some exciting young players who we will add to the players we’ve got already for a blend of youths and experience”, he said.

In what could be a daunting task, that got Hassan unbothered, is the optimism that Heartland can do a double in the new season”

“My target is to win the league and the Aiteo Cup with the Naze Millionaires”, he concluded.

Heartland FC are at home in the opening day of the season as they welcome Nasarawa Utd.
