Plateau Utd, Rivers Utd and Two Others Jostle For Free Agent, Sikiru Alimi

Plateau Utd and Rivers Utd are monitoring the situation of former Sunshine Stars forward, Sikiru Alimi as the dates for the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season gets clearer.

Sikiru Alimi, who is now a free agent is available following the unlawful termination of his contract by Moroccan Side Mas Des Fez, with his representatives confirming to thevitalnews.com.ng that they have now written to FIFA in demand for justice.

While Alimi's camp awaits FIFA’s pronouncement, the striker is now being monitored by the Jos and Port Harcourt based teams.

Also, Remo Stars are believed to be linked with the prolific striker who had a great time out in the NPFL before his sojourn in North Africa.

Surprisingly, Sunshine Stars are also keeping an eye on Alimi, who was a fan favourite with the Akure based club side.

“Sikiru Alimi is now a free agent following the wrong termination of his contract in Morocco. We are working on the matter with FIFA but as we wait, clubs in Nigeria have reached out to us”, Alimi’s representative told TVN.

“We have offers on our table but we will have to consider the best for Sikiru Alimi, the best club offer is what we will definitely agree to”, the representative concluded.

Sikiru Alimi scored three goals and provided as assist in his short playing time at Mas Des Fez.
