Shooting Stars football club of Ibadan got off their preparation for the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season with a 1-0 win over Kwara United at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.
The fixture which was the opening match of the 2021 Dapo Abiodun Preseason tournament saw VIA Football Academy Product, Malomo Taofeek Ayodeji 47th minute header the difference between the two sides who will be playing in the country’s topflight next season.
With a goalless first half, Edith Agoye had to make do with Malomo’s header to see off all three points.
It will be recalled that Malomo was instrumental in 3SC promotional ticket to the NPFL after finishing runners up at the NNL Super8 in Enugu.
3SC will face Gateway Utd on Wednesday in the second game of the pre season tournament.
