Gafaar Olafimihan might have stolen the show all season as per his double figure of goals for the club but there is one more player who add so much to the all round game play of Shooting Stars; Malomo Taofeek Ayodeji.
Malomo has started 10 matches out of 20 for 3SC and has hit double figures in GA (7 goals and 3 assists)
“He's hard to compare, his style is completely different. It's very easy to compare some players with the like of Ozil, Silva, Mata and others but Malomo is different” an insider who has followed the growth of the player from VIA football academy said.
With a superb close control of the ball, quick thinking and immaculate passing. He can score goals but also has a special skill in helping others to score.
Malomo, mainly an attacking midfielder can operate on either flank and anywhere on the offensive spine of the team. His incredible skill set allows for tactics to be changed at a whim in the full knowledge that the teenager will put in a stellar performance regardless of his position on the pitch.
Taofeek is the guy who picks the ball up in the final third after much of the hard work is done and then applies his magic. He is a supremely creative player and possesses great composure in pressurized situations in front of goal.
With all hope resting on the Edith Agoye led side to gain NPFL promotion, it will be a test for Shooting Stars to keep hold of one of their prized asset even after topflight ticket is sealed as Malomo could be on the wish list of other club side.
While there is more to improve on the teenager’s overall play, the signs are there for him to develop to the finished product you want a footballer to attain.
In continuing his growth, he has since proved to be the spine of this brilliant shooting stars team this season.
