Sadeeq Yusuf scored his 11th goal of the season to help Sunshine Stars get past Abia Warriors in an NPFL matchday 28 clash at the Akure Township Stadium.
The hitman calmly slotted home from close range after Warriors failed to clear their lines to give the Akure Gunners the lead inside 20mins.
Paul Samson would however equalized for Abia Warriors inside the last 5mins of first half but their was still time for drama as Sadeeq Yusuf immediately restored the home side’s advantage after guiding home at goal from Ojukwu’s pass.
The brace now means Sadeeq Yusuf is now the joint highest goalscorer of the NPFL alongside Silas Nwankwo and Mohammed Zulkifulu who are also on 11 goals.
