Sunshine Stars forward, Sadeeq Yusuf says he and his team are disappointed with their goalless draw against Adamawa Utd in Akure in an NPFL matchweek 13 clash.
The Akure Gunners were hoping to win their first game inside six matches but could only muster a point against bottom rock team, Adamawa Utd as the pressure pile on coach Gbenga Ogunbite and his boys.
Sadeeq, who has 8 goals in 13 matches while reviewing the disappointing game in Akure this Sunday said the team’s lack of finishing and selfishness caused them the three points.
“We created enough chances to score the goals, in fact we could have scored three in the first half but we were selfish in the final third”, he opined.
“I want to apologize to our esteemed fans on the awful result, we will pick up ourselves up and go again as we hope to make the fans proud very soon”, he concluded.
Sunshine Stars are now 14th on the log with 16 point as they face Katsina Utd next in matchweek 14.
