Sunshine Stars this Sunday recorded their first win of the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season after a 1-0 win over FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
Playing at the Akure Township Stadium, the coach Gbenga Ogunbote led side had to rely on Timileyin “Omojesu” Ogunniyi magical left foot for all maximum points.
In a game largely dominated by Sunshine Stars Omojesu stole the show with a man of the match display as his deftly taken freekick in the 9th minute was enough for the Akure football lovers to smile.
Aside his goal, Omojesu caught the eye in terms of his chance creation, touches and eye for pass in an all round excellent display.
The win comes as a relieve for Sunshine Stars after their last defeat in the league at Jigawa Golden Stars.
