“Match Officiating Will Take A New Level In The 2020/21 NPFL Season” Says NRA President, Tade Azeez



The President of the Nigerian Referees Association, Tade Azeez has assured football fans and stakeholders of free, fair and credible officiating ahead of the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season. 

Tade, was speaking in Ijebu Ode after the completion of the 2020 Gov. Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tournament which Shooting Stars emerged as winners. 

When quizzed on the readiness of his men for the new NPFL season, Tade said there would be a stark improvement as compared to last season. 

“Last season, we played about 250 matches and for the first time in the history of Nigeria football, we had 37 away wins and 76 draws”.

“So, I don’t need to say anything but I can assure you that this season will be better than the last”, he said. 

The NPFL is set to kick off on the 6th of December, 2020 with matches behind closed doors due to COVID-19 protocols.
