Shooting Stars football club of Ibadan have emerged champions of the 2nd edition of Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tourney after defeating Lobi Stars by a lone goal on Tuesday at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
It was a second Dapo Abiodun Pre Season Tournament trophy in the cabinet of the Oluyole Warriors in two editions.
Coach Kabiru Dogo’s men surrendered to Shooting Stars attacking display in the 3rd minute as Olafimihan Gafar netted what turned out to be the match winner.
Both teams failed to create any clear cut chance afterwards, as they played with caution with a view of holding on to ball possession.
The second half recorded a bit of action as Lobi Stars had a penalty appeal rejected by the referee.
At the end of 90 minutes, Shooting Stars deservedly won the competition for the second time in history.
