NPFL: Experience And Skill Required To Steady Dakkada FC As They Look To Preserve NPFL Status Beyond The 2020/2021 League Season

Success has its positives but with most things in life, it comes with a price. Dakkada FC are beginning to feel the brunt of their successful debut season in the Nigeria Professional Football League as several technical staffs and top players have chosen to pursue pastures elsewhere in the new season.

Head Coach, Caleb Esu is already rumored to have signed a contract with a new club for next season. This is in addition to no fewer than seven key players including (goalkeeper) Vincent Edafe (goalkeeper), Alalibo Somairi, Imoh Obot (defender), Moses Effiong Achare (Winger) and Femi Ajayi (Striker) amongst others that have also agreed moves elsewhere.

With the Plethora of departure from the 2019/2020 NPFL debutant experience and skill would be required to lead the club in the coming seasons.

Several names including Uche Okagbue (Technical Adviser, FC Ifeanyi Ubah), Ngozi Elechi (Former TA, Yobe Desert Stars FC), Emmanuel Deutsch (Former TA, Abia Warriors FC) are beginning to surface in the media as potential replacement to the seemingly outgone Maurice Esu but the club’s management seem to be in no rush to make decision.

However, avid observers of the league would tout the FC Ifeanyi Ubah Technical Adviser, Uche Okagbue as the best suited replacement to steady the rocking boat at Dakkada FC due to his experience and skill which has seen him keep FC Ifeanyi Ubah in the NPFL for the past three seasons against all odds including an impressive Super Six qualification with a team notorious for losing its best legs every season.

Areo Samuel.
