Report: Westham United Interested In Signing Former Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi

English premier League outfit, Westham united are in talks to sign former Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel,The VitalNews NG reports .

The former Super Eagles captain became a free agent in march, after terminating his contract with Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor over his refusal to continue playing for the side after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

After quitting Trabzonspor,Mikel  had been strongly linked with a move to Brazilian Serie A Clubs, Botafogo and Internacional,with the player confirming the interest.


"There is a contract with Westham united and talks are underway about next season," Mikel said On  Tribal football".

 "Ultimately,mikel's final decision will depend on whether Westham will still be  in the premier league next season .

The 33-year-old former Nigeria International had a successful spell with Chelsea,winning the Premier League, The FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and the  UEFA Europa League .
