Former Minister of Youths and Sports Development Barrister Solomon Dalung says the leadership of the Super Eagles Supporters Club led by Prince Vincent Okumagba worthy of emulation even as he charged him to extend his leadership qualities across board.
The Plateau State born administrator made this know in a series organized by the club on Instagram tagged "SESC LINK UP" which drew much attention from stakeholders of the round leather game.
"To the President of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Prince Vincent Okumagba, he is an amazing Nigerian and I will challenge him to try to extend those leadership qualities he has across board, try to engage Nigerians, make sure the supporters club is not an issuer of stain, bring the whole of Nigerians on board".
Barr. Dalung charged the Prince Okumagba to ensure the Super Eagles Supporters Club registers it's chapter in the 36 States in Nigeria and even at the local government level.
" What I will want to hear next of the Super Eagles Supporters Club is that we have Chapters all over the 36 States and the Chapters should be supporting football at those level.
We should also have Chapters in local government because we have our local teams there, the president should put this in his agenda on how he is going to expand".
It will be recalled Prince Vincent Okumagba announced his intentions to take the Supporters Club to the 36 States as the Super Eagles Supporters Club is currently in 21 States.
The Former Minister however vows his unflinching support for the club even as he gave accolades to Prince Vincent Okumagba for the massive delegation he led to the FIFA World Cup in Russia 2018.
"For me, I am available, I am ready at any time my attention is needed I will key in.
If there is anything I can do to talk to anybody who can assist, engage the private sector to support we will always do that but let us make the Super Eagles Supporters Club a National Organisation because it is peculiar, you need the patirotism, Nationalism to be a member.
I saw them in Russia I could not believe it, I mean Government was not having enough money to support them but they were able to raise funds, all I did was to assist them when they were having problems with visa and how to get the travel documents".
